Step Back in Time - The Wartime Christmas: WWII

Step Back in Time - The Wartime Christmas: WWII

Details

Step Back in Time is a short series of lectures by Dr Pat Murrell in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care.

'The Wartime Christmas: WWII' is the last in the series which have raised £2,000 so far. Thank you for your support.

When war was declared in 1939 it was hoped that it would all be over by the following Christmas. Sadly it was not. Join Pat Murrell to hear how people in East Anglia celebrated successive festive seasons despite the continual horrors, heartbreak and hardships of the Second World War.

Refreshments to wartime recipes, produced with food rationing in mind, are included in the ticket price.

This event takes place on Thursday 5 December at 8pm, at the United Reformed Church, Whiting Street, Bury St Edmunds.

Tickets £10 (previous events have sold out, advance booking is essential)
