St Nicholas Hospice Care and local churches work in partnership to offer the opportunity for bereaved families to celebrate and remember those they love. Our Light up a Life services are held across West Suffolk and Thetford include music and the opportunity to hear the names of loved ones read out.

You are warmly invited to remember your loved one’s name which will be read out at a service of your choice. 

This year, our services will be held at: 

  • Sudbury, St Peter’s Church, 2 December
  • Lavenham, Salvation Army Hall, 4 December
  • Thetford, United Reformed Church, 6 December
  • St Nicholas Hospice Care, Bury St Edmunds, 8 December (2pm and 5pm)
  • Bury St Edmunds, St Mary’s Church, 9 December
  • Bury St Edmunds, The Apex, 12 December
  • Newmarket, All Saints Church, 13 December
  • Haverhill, St Mary’s Church, 15 December

Our Light up a Life services are completely free of charge, but any donation towards our work would be greatly appreciated.

About St Nicholas Hospice Care

St Nicholas Hospice Care is a local charity providing help, advice and support to people in West Suffolk and Thetford in the final chapters of their life, who are living with long-term and life-threatening illnesses. Our services are not just for patients, but for their family and friends too. They include everything from specialist medical care to bereavement support and practical help. We also: •Offer emotional support to patients, children, families and carers •Help people to make the most of every day •Advise on pain relief and other symptoms •Liaise with other services which may be able to help •Offer a variety of education to local professionals and carers
