Sara's Story

We were lethal with a torch lighting up the back row and snaffled any ice creams that happened to get squished . With pounds in hand, every Saturday without fail we spend the lot after checking out the clothes stall opposite Superdrug in readiness for Rollerbury on the Sunday. Back then anyone who was anyone was there so we needed to look the part. We both thrashed round at high speed frontwards and backwards, winning chariots races and nearly breaking our necks during camels. Those really were happy days.\n\nI used to run a rounders team and each week during the Summer we would congregate at Hardwick Heath. Back then loads of pubs ran teams but we were the team to beat! Being a great sports person Zena used to whack the ball and those watching would try to encourage her to run faster to watch her assets move. One particular day, our friend Peter was shouting, go Zena and she looked him straight in the eye and replied Easy Tiger! He was really embarrassed and it gave cause to much hilarity. She just had a way about her. We still laugh about it to this day. x"}}]
