'What we have once enjoyed we can never lose, all that we have loved deeply becomes part of us'
Zena was born and raised in Bury St Edmunds, daughter to Terry and Dot, sister to Tracey, Mandy and Brandon, partner to Darren, loving mum to Connie and friend to many.
Zena was a strong, confident women
with a lovely smile and fun loving persona. It is no exageration to say that whatever the company or occasion she had the ability to light up a room.
Zena was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour in 1989, she was a determined person who made a decision to make the most of her life, amazing the doctors with how well she managed. She died peacefully at home on 1st June 2005 with Darren at her bedside.
She had a love of music, netball and Bury St Edmunds but her real passion was for her family. She loved nothing better than to be spending time together, whether that was at the family home at Cannon Street, the beach, Ipswich Town FC or lively occaisions like Christmas.
The main focus for Zena was her
daughter Connie, she really was the 'light of her life'. It is a great comfort for us as a family to see so much of Zena's qualities in Connie as she grows into a confident young woman.
You never really lose someone while they continue to live on in your memory. This website will help us all to remember Zena, reinforce what a special person Zena was and how lucky we were to have had her in our lives.
